About Jason C. Pierre

I can remember growing up in New York City in the 70’s, where sometimes I would go to work with my mom. She would take me with her to clean houses and cook meals for the families she worked for.  I learned a lot from my mom about food. Till this day those memories of working with my mom have given me the pursuit of cooking for families just like my mom. 

Culinary arts has become a passion for me. After years working in the field, I got a job in New Mexico at Western New Mexico University as the Executive Chef.  After being laid off due to the pandemic I decided to go after my dream. I found a great opportunity here in Silver City and needless to say the rest of the story is still being written as I move forward with La Vie Est Un Bistro.
